Each fale at Savaii Lagoon Resort has a separate bedroom with a queen size bed, a
bathroom which has a shower, toilet and vanity, and a
kitchenette complete with cooking facilities.
There is also an outside shower attached to each fale.
The lounge has TV and a large settee which folds down to a
comfortable double bed. There is also provision for single beds
to cater for families.
UV treatment for the water has been installed which makes it
safe to drink.
The resort is situated in the village of Fagamalo on the north
eastern coast about a 45 minute drive from the ferry terminal at
Salelologa.
Whether you fill your days snorkeling in the crystal clear waters, sailing leisurely on the lagoon or exploring the island, you will be rejuvenated by the end of your stay.
You will experience snorkeling which is renowned for its abundance of coral and tropical marine life.
Le Lagoto bar and restaurant, just a two minute stroll down the beach, boasts a delight of local delicacies.
Enjoy the culinary surprise in the alfresco dining area while watching a magical sunset one can only experience in such a beautiful location.
There is also a shop outside the resort gate for basic provisions should you decide to do your own cooking.
Light summer clothing is appropriate all year round at Savaii Lagoon Resort where the temperature range is from about 26 to 32 degrees
Celsius, or 79 to 90 degrees farenheit.
Samoa does not have a summer and winter as such, it
has a dry season and a wet season. The dry season is from
April to October/November.
The price includes a tropical breakfast consisting of cereal and a generous supply of fruit.
The resort has complimentary dinghies, petanque, putting green and a small library. In addition, bicycles are available for hire.
The warm waters of the Pacific Ocean that surround Samoa's islands offer a range of water sport activities, from reef surfing (for the real thrill seeker) to game fishing, diving, sea kayaking and snorkeling.
Dive charters from beginners to master's ( PADI Dive School ) operate in the vicinity of the resort. These can be booked from the office at Savaii Lagoon when you arrive.
There are full day and half day island tours which have a pickup and return arrangement. We would recommend the half day tour to the Blow Holes and the Waterfall.
Samoa is one of the most politically stable and safe countries in
the Pacific, it is an inexpensive destination for holidays as it is
unspoiled by commercialism associated with tourism. You will be
charmed by the humble and happy lifestyle of the Samoan
people.
Samoa is comprised of two relatively large islands, Upolu and Savaii (which account for approximately 96% of the total land area) and eight smaller islands.
The capital Apia and Faleolo International Airport are located on the island of Upolu.
The islands are volcanic and dominated by rugged mountain ranges with a fringe of coral reefs and lagoons which surround the islands.
A well paved road encircles the island where it is
possible to drive around within a day.
For the land lover, have a picnic by a waterfall, hike to extinct volcanic craters or crater lakes, and explore the vast plantations of coconut, bananas and cocoa.
Go horseback riding along the vast stretches of white sand beaches or canoe through the mangroves.
The beach at Savaii Lagoon Resort is very safe and provides excellent snorkeling and swimming.
