The photos I have seen in brochures and magazine articles about Vatulele could not compare to the true beauty of Vatulele Island Resort.

Our Vatulele Island Resort experience started at the Nadi airport where we where greeted by a friendly staff member, who helped us with our luggage and organized our flight check-in with Sunflower Airlines.

Little did we know that we were in for an unforgettable experience in a South Pacific paradise.

The flight was incredibly beautiful as we flew over the main island of Viti Levu and the reefs surrounding Vatulele.

After landing on the 12 mile square island we were met again by the friendly Vatulele Island Resort staff and given a cool refreshing towel.

We then boarded their transfer bus for the ride to the resort.

Our bure girl led us down the path to one of the 17 beachfront villas. The sand path to our villa was a pleasant change from the sidewalks of our every day lives.

Our spacious 2000 square ft. bure had a magnificent architectural style, complimented with a wide range of hand-made local crafts.

The stunning combination of wood, stone, and thatch are a visual delight. The doors that open to the terrace give you amazing views of the lagoon.
