Apartments Kakera are designed and built by owners and on-site hosts Andrew Ponga and Melinda Morris-Ponga.

"We wanted to create private, modern pacific, guest apartments and offer personal care and simple luxuries for our overseas guests to enjoy".

Kakera Apartments are spacious, modern, and self-contained complete with decks and private freshwater plunge pools and tropical courtyard areas.

The apartments have panoramic views to the tropical mountains, valleys and Pacific Ocean.

Set on the sunrise side of the Island (Kakera means land were the sun rises), the apartments have access to a wild private beach, where you can safely bathe in the shallows of the coral reef pools and be mesmorised by the untamed Pacific Ocean only metres away.

Alternatively you can soak the days away in your very own private freshwater plunge pool.

Kakera Apartments are 2 km. from Muri Lagoon, shops, restaurants and car and bike hire, seven kilometers from Avarua township, restaurants and night spots. The Cook Islands bus, stops at the gate and Apartments Kakera is only a short 15 minutes drive from Rarotonga airport.

For apartment guests' entertainment the apartments are equipped with TV, DVD, stereo, air-conditioning and fan.

The kitchens offer a gas cooker, refrigerator/ freezer, microwave, quality cutlery, crockery and glassware.

Bathrooms offer fine porcelain ware, large plush bath towels and stylish beach towels for guest use, complimentary professional shampoo, conditioner and fragrant body wash are offered in the showers all at the push of a button.

The bedroom areas have crisp cotton linen and the master rooms have a makeup desks with hair dryer and wardrobes.

Shared laundry facility are located in the apartment complex each apartment contains it’s own iron and board.

Double French doors lead from the lounge and dinning area out to a private swimming pool, deck and tropical garden area.

The apartment is self contained with down stairs kitchen and bathroom - clean and modern.

The kitchen is equipped with gas cooker, refrigerator/ freezer, microwave & quality cutlery, crockery, glassware and cookware.

Apartment Pepe's bathroom is light, fresh and roomy with quality porcelain bathroom ware and large plush towels. Complimentary shampoo/conditioner and body wash are all available at the push of a button.

Upstairs on the mezzanine floor lay on a king size bed with crisp cotton bed linen and watch the changing vista of the tropical mountain valley unfold before your eyes.

The mezzanine bedroom has wardrobes and drawers for two and a hair and makeup desk equipped with excellent lighting and a professional blow-dryer. As well as air conditioning the mezzanine floor has for your comfort a ceiling fan positioned to cool the king size bed.

Apartment Ra offers a deck with private plunge pool entrance, cool and modern interior open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen with bench bar facility.

The lounge offers TV, DVD and mini stereos for your enjoyment.

The kitchen is equipped with gas cooker, refrigerator/ freezer, microwave and all the quality cutlery, crockery, glassware and cookware needed to experiment with new tropical cuisine.

Apartment Ra's bathroom located downstairs is fresh and clean with quality porcelain bathroom fixtures and large plush towels.

Complimentary shampoo/conditioner and body wash all available at the push of a button.

Stairs from the lounge lead up to two air-conditioned bedrooms.

Enjoy the breath-taking views of the tropical mountains and valley as you lie on the double bed with crisp cotton bed linen.

Melinda has 20 yrs experience in the beauty industry. Offering a full range of pampering from hairdressing and makeup to facial, manicure, pedicures and massage.

Melinda is also highly experienced with bridal pampering having worked with over 2000 brides in her company.

For the less adventurous the coral reef pools are a perfect place to soak or work on your tan in the sandy coves of Kakera beach, enjoying the privacy and mesmorised by the Pacific ocean only meters away.
